DAY 1: SAIGON On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight: Kingston Hotel or similar.
DAY 2: SAIGON Head northwest out of the city to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing underground network that was used as a domicile during the Vietnam War. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch. This afternoon enjoy city tour of historic landmarks including the Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, former Presidential Palace, the City Opera House and the City Hall. Overnight: Kingston Hotel or similar.
DAY 3: MEKONG DELTA Depart for a full day excursion into the Mekong Delta. On arrival take a motorized sampan cruise to see the floating markets. Visit some of the thriving local cottage industries, including pottery and rice paper making. Enjoy a lunch in the garden of a local farmer, before returning to Saigon. Overnight: Royal Pearl or similar.
DAY 4: SAIGON to HOI AN Transfer to Saigon airport for the flight to Danang. Continue on a scenic drive south visiting the Cham Museum, Marble Mountain, with its beautiful grottos and the famous China Beach. Arrive in the ancient fishing village of Hoi An. Hoi An is one of Vietnam's most delightful places. Overnight: Vinh Hung Resort or similar.
DAY 5: HOI AN Enjoy a walking tour of this beautiful old town. This afternoon take an excursion just out of town to another World Heritage site, My Son, the site of the Cham Ruins, Vietnam's most important site of the ancient Champa Kingdom. Overnight: Vinh Hung Resort or similar.
DAY 6: HUE Depart Hoi An and take a scenic drive to Hue. On arrival take a dragon boat cruise on the Perfume river to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Continue on to the impressive Imperial Citadel home to the Nguyen Dynasty Emperors. Overnight: Huong Giang Hotel or similar.
DAY 7: HUE Today's half day tour takes you to some of Hue's Royal Tombs. You may visit the elaborate mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, Minh Mang or Khai Dinh. Continue to Hue's colourful Dong Ba Market. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Overnight: Galaxy Hotel or similar.
DAY 8: HANOI This morning's city highlights include a visit to the mausoleum of Vietnam's most revered former leader, Ho Chi Minh. Enjoy lunch at Jimmy Phan's KOTO restaurant, set up to provide training and employment for Hanoi's youth. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight: Galaxy Hotel or similar.
DAY 9: HALONG BAY CRUISE Full day excursion to World Heritage listed, Halong Bay. Enjoy a 4 hour boat cruise exploring the various limestone grottos. A seafood lunch is served on board. Late afternoon return to Hanoi. Overnight: Galaxy Hotel or similar.
DAY 10: HANOI Enjoy a walking tour of Hanoi's tree lined boulevards and its lovely Old Quarter. Continue to the History Museum, which is an amazing blend of French and Chinese architecture. The afternoon is free. This evening enjoy a performance by Hanois water puppet troupe. Overnight Hanoi: Galaxy Hotel or similar.
DAY 11: HANOI Transfer to airport for your departure flight.
